i need help with a big decision

alright guys, help me out cause im sure someone on here can, i have an 85 iroc z, 305 tpi, and i have been given a 350 out of a 97 gmc cierra. i know that no matter what i do i am going to have to change the cam, but i have two raelly big decisions on my hands, should i use the vortec heads taht are on there, since they flow so well, or take the good heads off my 305 and put them on for compression. also, i have to decide if i should stick with the tpi setup and a not so aggressive bumpstick, or put on a carubeurateur and get crazy with a bumpstick, so let me know yalls opinion, and also, this is my daily driver, so i need slight practicallity

this is 3rd gen tech. yo bro keep it fuel injected there so much more fun put the vortec heads on little bigger cam and get yourself the holly stealth ram injections and wave to the z06 on your way past it.

You have good heads on the 305? What are they? Vortech heads won't work on TPI unless you change the manifold to a SDCP one, I believe.

Dont ditch your vortec heads for 305 heads. Vortec heads are all around superior to cast iron heads from your 305, and what little compression you may pick up wont make up for the fact that you would lose at least 50 cfm of flow on the intake side. Take the vortecs and have them shaved down if you want more compression, and buy the fel pro .015 thickness shim gaskets when you put them back on.
