i want to put a cam in my 91 camaro it is a 305 roller motor what is the best way to go car is going to run headers and have quit a bit of head work done [maybe a little happy spray] any help whould be nice

 

need more info on the car, tranny, gears, etc...

 

Dont waste any money on your stock heads. Get a set of LB9 (305 tpi) heads at the minimum. LT1 cam is a good choice like robvas said.

 

will the lt1 cam work with my motor i forgot to mention it's a tbi motor i think that makes a difference i was reading that any type of cam work done to those motors makes the car run like crap is true i need to upgrade the computer right? any more help whould be great it's an auto w/342 posi drum rear

 

Yea, it'll work fine but you might want to give valve springs depending on how old your stock ones are. Regardless, I wouldnt do a cam until I did a full exhaust and beefed up my suspension. I did the cam before the suspension and it was dumb. Live and learn I guess.
