i got a few questions.....
i'm tryin to decide on what f-bod to buy and i have been looking into the 90-92's that have the 350 L98.
For those of you who own an F-body in these years.....
How did it run stock? Smooth and Fast?
How much do u think it would cost for insurance for a 16 year old?(rough estimate, good record)
Camrao or Firebird? which do u think would be easier to find a good deal on?

I would stick with above 89 these came with the 245hp L98 do to the fact that they had dual cat converters. In stock form they perform realy well.Should run mid to low 14's on a healthy motor.Throw some mods and your diving into the 13's.Had a 92 go 13.6's with just a few mods muffler,2400 stall converter with a shift kit,bdg drags, high fuel regulator' and some free mods, iceing the intake before each run,160 stat, and manual fan switch.Put a cam in it with some 373's,new intake,headers,3in piping, afr heads, edwright custom computer chip and I was running mid to high 12's.Good luck hope ypu have fun.
Thanks a lot man.....i actually prefer the 89's looks over the 90-92's, but according to www.thirdgen.org the 89's made 240 hp and the same torque, but 5 hp shouldn't make a difference at all. Besides I plan on modifying it quite a bit
Also: Are there any websites that have a bunch of thirgen bolt-ons and performance parts? I was looking at the SLP website but heard they take forever to ship, so idk.
Anyone know about the insurance???
