HSR and LT4 hot cam

anybody running this combo on stock heads? i should be putting the cam in either this weekend or next. does anyone have any dyno sheets or time slips? im wondering what kind of power im going to be making. i ran 14.88 here which at sea level would have been about a 14.2X. im hoping to run a 14.45 or better here, anyone think thats possible? or am i going to be disappointed?

Re: HSR and LT4 hot cam

thats a pretty hot cam for stock L98 heads...i'd be careful, I heard you shouldn't go over .490 lift on stock valvetrain, and I believe the hot cam is .525 lift...

a LT4 hotcam, HSR, and decent heads(ported alum. L98's, mediochre type of heads) can go low 13's, high 12's possibly....probably mid 12's with some nice AFR heads or something...

hotcam is .525/.525 with 1.6 rockers. With 1.5's it is .490 somthing.

Re: HSR and LT4 hot cam

Make sure you check your valve spring clearance. Those stock LT4 springs are barely adequate for that cam's lift.
