Post how rare are 85 Irocs with the 305 HO (l69)???

I want another thirdgen soooo bad.
the 85 iroc HO's came with M5 and 3.73's.
awesome place for my other vortec 350...

I'm wondering if I could pick one up for fairly cheap. How do you determine if it's the HO car, the motor doesn't matter, but I want the 3.73 rear!

I have a friend that almost bought one 2 years ago. It was in Southlake, Tx (north fort worth) it was close to mint. The car was in great shape and ran good for a 305. It was a 5-speed 305 HO iroc. Very nice car. Im not sure if they came with a 3.73 rearend though. If they did thats cool. The guy was asking $3500 for the car, not bad for what it was. My friend ended up buying a dodge R/T.

BTW: the difference between the HO and the TPI is that exactly. Pop the hood and see if its carbed or TPI. Then you will know. The HO's didnt come with TPI i dont think. HO are only carbs. Irocs only came with carbs in 85 TPI was an option. Wish the 5-speed was in option to the 350 but it wasnt.

There were 2,497 L69 cars in 85. No knowing how many were Z28s and how many were IROCs though.

the way to tell if it is an HO car is to look at the vin. If it has a G as the 8th number it is an HO 305 car. Also the HO's came with a dual inlet air cleaner. It might still be there.

The 5.0 L69 H.O. was only availabe in
IROCs in 85- AND only with a 5 speed.

So there were 2,497 produced.

Roughly speaking, Canada wopuld've got about 10% of that- so pretty rare here
