321 to the wheels and 221hp to the wheels seems like a lot for a stock L98, yet for some reason it does NOT seem like *enough* for the mods he has

The link in my sig. has my dyno results from before the mods. Haven't scanned in the dyno from after. The heads are trick flow 23deg heads 62cc 195cc intake port. I'm looking at a ZZ4 cam, does anybody think this would be a bad idea.

Ahhh.. that clears things up That still sounds high for a stock L98 though, but I'm sure you're not complaining

It had no muffler, with stock dual cats, and alum. drive shaft.

no way.....youll want a different cam for a 383 and besides what are you going to do in 2 years?reuse your cam??please..enjoy your 350 for a few years and save your pennies until you do a 383 then do it right.besides with your engine a cam swap wont add up to much

He has an upgraded intake, heads, and headers. By your standards, exactly how much more work needs to be done before a new cam would be warranted? I think any time someone gets a new set of heads a new cam is needed to fully appreciate the upgrade.

Heck.. a third-gen right out of the box could use a cam-upgrade
