hooker supercomp headers

Question hooker supercomp headers

i am wondering if a pair of hooker super comp ceramic coated headers will fit in my 1991 rs

If they are shorties, I see no reason why they would not. I have shorties on my Crate (and they were on the L98) and they fit good. Just make sure you get them with A.I.R. fittings if you need them. I yanked all my smog stuff and ended up trimming the AIR tubes off the headers and welding holes shut. That is a little pricey......But they are ceramic coated and that is GOOD!!!!

Question

i was going to use the full length ceramic coated super comps

in the summit catalog they say they are for 1982-1992 camaros so i assume they will fit

Yes they will fit. Ihavce them on my car and its a full days work to in stall.

Question

did you run the exhaust past the transmission then connect it to an x pipe


i want to use the 3" flowmaster exhaust system i have on my car right now but it only has one cat so how can i hook the headers up to that

Mufflex makes a Y-pipe for Hooker longtubes in a 3rd gen but it's like $250 and I don't think it will fit 5/6-speed cars. It runs down the sides of the tranny pan and joins under the front U-joint. You can also get it with O2 bungs for like $25 more but obviously theres no room for a cat.

I going to run Mufflex 4" and Mufflex y- pipe. Thought if I was going to do it........... Id do it the right way, but pay the price as well
