high torque starter motors
high torque starter motors
ok i just bought one of these high torque starters.
when i wired it up ( i lost the manual ) when u plug the terminal in.. the spinning starts.. when i removed.. it stoped.. so the starter is not coming out of its pocket and basically i need to know which wires go to which connector.
there are 2 main boltz and then a slip on wire as well

it has the 2 boltz and then it has a clip on the back as well.. right beside the metal boltz.
there is a positve from the battery, there is 2 other wises that are mended together and there is there is a red which is know is the ignition switch. i really badly need to know where each of these goes so i dont brake it.
best regards
Douglas

Re: high torque starter motors
Here is the Summit directions. But they don't mention about where the wires go. Just how to install the starter to the flywheel. Hope this helps a little. http://static.summitracing.com/globa...sum-g1660a.pdf
Re: high torque starter motors
what trouble are you having? all the wires that went to the large stud on the original one go the the large outer stud on the new one, and the single wire that went to the small stud goes to the slide in connector
if you need more help, can you take a pic of the wires you are working with? might help
