I was having a conversation about this last night, you need to get the high quality ones, and yes they do cost over 200 dollars for a very very good one. Try to get one you can hide in the grill, or one that you can yank off your shield real quick.

i was thinking about getting the valentine 1, its better than the pass port 8500 (car and driver gave the passport a 73 and the V! a 97) but they cost about 349.95, but they also have arrows 2 let u know where the radar is soming from.

Why does it have trouble enough w/ power output?
Also, the Valentine 1 I've heard from friends who have it, is a GREAT detector! And BTW, it has 4 arrows.. Left, Right, Front, Rear. (Also heard that it is very good w/ distinction.. regarding false alarms. But it goes wild at like Grocery stores an ****.. We both worked at Tops, so I would know.)

TPI? Did you get EVERYTHING (harness, sensors, etc.)? I'm looking for a cheap L98 and if you got it ALL for $400...I'll be at the yard tomorrow
