Sorry for the slow responce of our forum...
stock is 45 PSI. I'd add 2-3lbs just for kicks. the ONLY way to know what is best is a day tuning at the track or on a dyno...most people tune in increments of 2 psi. take that car to a track, man!
I'm interested to see some numbers. later man

thanks Denny,
i think i will start at 48 psi and see how it goes. man i had to goto an industrial fitting place to find the appropriate fittings to come off of the schreader valve.
hope to have everything buttoned up tonight, maybe even started. besides my better half is ready to castrate me.... j/k!
p.s.: thanks a whole bunch Joe for the deal on the very nicely painted headers and the tip on jacking the motor up! Gerry thought i was nuts, i think he thought i wanted to pull it out and put in another motor
he knows how i get when i get going on this stuff. and thanks to Dave D for tipping me on your headers!

Whoa Whoa now! 45 pounds is over stock for the 350 I believe. I think it was around 42 actually. Smaller pistons=less fuel required. If I recall...305s' were set at 39 PSI. Granted you have hopped up the 305 a bit but start around 40 and move it up in small incriments after test drives.
You can AND WILL go over the fuel curve and lose performance if you go too high. Good luck.

my stock rating when i hooked up a fuel pressure guage was around 34 with my 350.....
although that was a little lean...low 13's i'm pushing around 38-39 and it's rich (high 11 low 12 ratio).
the only true way is to test and tune......i had it at 42 and thought it was running great until i hooked it up to a wideband and was running 11.1 and lower!!!
it would be nice if they all had a desired level to make it easy.......good luck.
