Help me tune my PCM for performance
Hey guys, well now that I have adjusted my timing, my car running better than before. I do however think that it could use a little help in the ignition dep. What can I do to get a bigger spark(better anyway). A little more umph from the ignition side of things.
How about my PCM> Can I have it tuned? Or should I get a chip specific for year and motor?
Does anyone know if I do get a better chip for the car, would I be able to retain this chip if I swapped in a 350 later?
Thanks guys
Will

Carb computers do very little. They basically control the fuel metering while at idle and cruising, the smog controls, and the timing. There is very little you can change in the chip too. Set your distributor up to about 8-10º initial timing, make sure your jets and metering rods are giving you optimal air/fuel ratio, and you're in business.
