Im not sure I understand this comment the way you have it worded.

Do you mean you want to buy a set of bolt on and go heads?

Or are you saying you dont want to buy any mods that will require new heads for the mods to work well?

If you just want power to bolt on with no porting and all I would say 195 ARFs. They may be a little much for an all stock 305, but if you went with a stealth ram and new cam and all. Especially with a 350 I think they would be pretty solid.

Lifters you would buy when you bought a new cam. But I suggest when you buy heads buy a nice set of roller rockers.

heres what im thinking. holley steath ram with fuel rails and adjustable fuel pressure regulator and tb. possibly a set of bigger injectors. maybe ill send my heads out to get ported and add roller rockers with a good cam. and the all mighty headers. and subframe connectors all on a 305 block i should get a good jump with all this and then yes maybe a shift kit and some better gears i hope 2000$ can cover this all

Not a bad plan. But if you buy the stealram kit, the Throttle body will come with it. The only other thing that I was thinking, is especially if your gonna buy a AFPR to up fuel pressure you should get an aftermarket fual pump too. I think Granetelli sells a good one for about $100.

$2000 will just about cover it, depending on whats brands you buy. The only other thing I suggest is when you get the heads ported get them totaly rebuilt with better spring that can accomidate more valve lift so you can run a bigger cam.

Whats good about this set-up is down the road you can switch ALL of this stuff over to a 350-383-or 400 block and make an assload more power. But for now until your ready to make that switch it will really liven up the 305.


Also I think perhaps but Im not suer thatwith the stealth ram you may have to buy a cown hood. But they really arent that expensive.
