Smile help me pick my mods

well looks like winter is approaching. this means storage for most camaros and for me i want to be damn fast when i come out in may. i need help on what i should do i know most of you are gonna say throw a 350 in but besides that issue help me out. i have an 87 305tpi with 700r4. i have already done the following= Ram air from the fog lights directly to the filtes which are highflows. I have added an AirFoil. i Have added jet power pulleys with no smog pump or air conditioning. I have a full accell tune up including cap rotors wires and rapidfire plugs. i have bypassed my coolant from the t/b. and i have gutted my cat and added a flowmaster catback. here are my ideas for the winter. I was gonna buy hooker shortie headers with no a.i.r also add a tpis big mouth intake manifold with siamiesed runners, portedplenum, and 52mmtb. while it was opened i was possibly if money allowed me to to add a good cam and good set of complete heads thats my 1st idead. number 2 i was gonna add the lt1 intake manifold and headers and thats all i have i need some feedback on what you guys would do to a 305 i know i should replace the motor and am thinking about so help me with the 305 and not 350 change thank you

Heads and cam sound like a good idea, but I think a supercharger is the way to go on that 305.Get a nice intercooler on there with a small 50 shot of nitrious to keep air temps down and you will be running fast. A must with the headers.

Question.....what is different between the 350-305's as far as heads, intake??? i know the cam is different. I ask because heres my plan for the winter with my 350. Either buy a short block or just accomplish the same thing by buying a block and installing a rotating assembly. I am not even sure if this is possible yet but i was hoping that i can do this and then just bolt up the rest of my stock accessories ie cam, heads, intake because a good 383 bottom end is going to run me a good bit of cash. That way i have an awesome 383 base with crappy heads and intake but then i have a wicked motor to build from. Have no idea if itd work for you (or even for me?!?!?) but its just a thought.

Well im lucky enough to live 15 miles away from the boardring counties for emmisions i dont have to pass emissions. plus if it ever came down to it my guitarist in my band has already vouhed he will pass anyone who is building thier car he dosent believe in these bull**** laws. now as for supercharging my car i will need to do all my listed mods first correct? or if i stick it right on it will be so much power i wont have enough compression to run it and my motor will literally crumble under all that stress . But the small shot of nos has crossed my mind any other ideas

Buy a Stealth Ram, it will be cheaper than adding a big mouth manifold and all that. You will get TB, plenum, and intake. I think the only thing extra you have to buy is a Holley Fuel Rail.

Then get a new PROM burnt. Exhaust is always a good idea, but make sure you get a set of headers that has the hole for your O2 sensor (SLP maybe) SUbframe Connectors, and a shift kit stall convertor for your tranny.

I really dont suggest staying with the 305, and while yor spending money you might as well just buy a new shortblock.

Lol the stealthram only goes for that much, for someone whose not already fuel injected. Your Already TPI, I think everything you need will run about $500

A stall convertor raises the RPM your tranny can take before it starts putting power to teh driveshaft. So with a higher than stock stall convertor you can launch at higher RPMs. Depending on the stall you want 250-500 dollars

A shift kit will just make your tranny have snappier shifts. Probably less than $100

You need their fual rail too. Your injectors will work but you could use some bigger ones. After you recover from spending on the intake it would be a good idea to upgrade injectors. Im not sure who sells it but if you look on Summit of Jegs website they probably have the option to buy just what you need without the computer and everything.

If not Im sure someone will post a link for ya.

You wil only get partial efficiecy from any of those mods if you don't have a good porting job done on your heads. I offer that service.
