My trans is acting odd after a close one on Tuesday. Making a left onto a street close to home a WRX decided he wanted to play. It was .. to the wall for about 1/4 mile until I had to make a left. There was no redlining just foot to the floor. I must say even with 155k miles and lifter noise he never got past my door. Not something I like to do or encourage but when you hear a high pitch buzz in your ear what the hay.

Anyway, today I noticed the following problems; the usual punch from gear to gear at normal speeds was replaced with a slow slip into the next speed, entering the freeway there is a definate slip through the gears and an unwanted slip n' slide until OD kicks in. Pretty much there is slippage and a lack of the servo punch that was there before.

Where can I start looking? Servo, accumulators, valve body plungers, or what.

I have a built 700R4

I would start by checking your fluid. If you're lucky, it will be just a bit low instead of burnt or missing.
