Headers?
I have been scratching my head over a set of headers for a while myself. I cant decide on which one ( SLP,hooker, hedman) I hear that for a 350 engine 1 3/4'' diameter tubes are best. You will gain some torque. I would like a set of long tubes for mine, but am still researching on which is best for me.(92 Z28 350 tuned port, 32000 original miles.) Good Luck.
My plans are ZZ9 cam, AFR190 heads, Tpis big mouth manifold, 52mm throttle body, and some sort of headers. This will do for now until I can save some more $$$.Hopefully this will get me in the 12s on drag radials.Whatcha think?
anyone have any pics of the exhaust mounted up to some long tubes? I've been wanting a set for my 91 but dont know how the rest of the exhaust will go...
Thanks,
Adam

Hooker Super Comps are probably the best off the shelf headers IMO. If you want to go street low end torque use 1 5/8ths primarys ifyou want some upper RPM power go 1 3/4s. In your case with the plans you mentioned I think I would go with the 3/4"ers
I run coated Hedman shorties, 1 5/8" tubes into 3" collectors. You don't need 1 3/4" unless you're making more than about 400hp. Longtubes are a little more efficient, but with shorties you can run your exhaust through the stock routing and not sacrifice any ground clearance.
