Question Have a camshaft question..

First off, I have no idea where to post this so if it's not where it should be, I don't mind it being moved.

Well, I was helping a buddy move his garage last night and found a camshaft in the top of his tool box, he didn't have any use for it so I took it....I have no idea what it goes too or anything...figured if I lucked up I could use it, if not, craigslist....well I don't know how to read the numbers on the end of the cam....and after researching, I still don't know...

1264
1 20
6267

It's got to be with in the past 4 years..it has a digital SKU code on it..... around it it has C and 1....that's all I know....if you can help me out I would be forever greatful. lol

Re: Have a camshaft question..

if its a flat tappet cam i'd toss it if the lifters arent there or they werent numberd to which bore they came from. with all of the stuff going on with oils and the higher chance of rolling a lobe, its not worth the risk.

if its a roller the only way to tell what the specs are is to have it put on an adcole machine as this will measure each lobe.

Re: Have a camshaft question..

I'll try to get a few pics up....but when I searched the first 4 numbers on google, I was getting back GM Vortec Cam.

From what I've read about Cam and Grind numbers.....none of what I've listed match and shape form or fashion....or am I just reading these all the wrong way?
