I had a 5 liter 84 I got back in HS, it was not a z28 it did not have the HO motor either, it had the 700r4 tranny and had a z23? badge in the back? I haven't found another one like it, and no it wasn't z28 faded or anything. I didn't care about the badging since it wasn't a z28 and did not have the hood ect... besides I swapped that motor out for a 350. Can't find any other options then the sport coupe the z28 and a special olympics edition.

Maybe something that a dealer put on as a 'special' package through them in an attempt to increase value at the time it was sold?

i went over to camarosource and did a search for Z23 and it came up with noting. i agree, must have been a dealer thing.

There was the Z24 for the Cavaliers (and the Z22 that was kinad...meh). The Z26 was the Baretta. Z34 was the Lumina...I can't remember anything else lol

I've heard of a the 1984 camaro f41. Never seen one in person tho. There is a thread on thirdgen.org about them. Seem kinda rare or more or less uncommon.

RPO F41 was a cheap supension upgrade on early Camaros. About a $50 option and no big deal, I think the F41 badges cost that much. Also anything with the supension (shocks) are history but the badges survive.

I did think it was a suspension upgrade... that car stuck to the ground, I got luck and found it setting with low miles and an eager seller.
