Good Idea?
Good Idea?
I was looking at a new camaro. Does this look like a good offer?http://www.carsearch.com/768632.htm
Re: Good Idea?
I am going to have to say no on that one. When I bought my '89 Camaro it had 48,000 miles on it, T5, 305, and was in perfect condition inside and out. I paid $4,800 for it and looking back I should have offered less.
With 160K on the clock I would say it is worth about $2K to $2500 tops.

Re: Good Idea?
Tough call. If it were a 350ci or if the interior was perfect also. However, $3500 for any running car is all that bad, especially for one that has a rebuilt engine and new trans.
Re: Good Idea?
honestly, i wouldnt pay more than 1500 for that car, and i would definitly run a carfax first. theres always 3rd gens for sale, you can probably get a TBI for a lot cheaper, and i think its better than Tuned Port anyways.

The ONLY way i see that happening is if you consider $/HP, only because people practically are throwing away those old TBI cars......not to get off topic.....
