engine problems need help bad

i just got my iroc camaro, it has a 350 tpi engine and was running really strong then one day it started missing after i drive it, parked at walmart and started it up. the next day i also drove it and it was fine and then agaion started missing. it seemed like the only time it would miss like that was when it was warm at first and then would happen randomnly. i thought the wires were bad so i replaced them. after replacing the wires with accel 8.8s i cant get the motor to kick over and the one time it did it sputtered and missed. i have the wires going to the correct cylinders because i have double checked them with reference books to make sure. any help trying to figure out what the problem is id appreciate it thanks

Plugs, cap and rotor would be the obvious things to check first, seeing as they arent expensive.

Ditto. That's where I'd start. It could be more but hopefully replacing those will do the trick. Are you getting a check engine light?
