GM Performance div. ZZ 383
Re: GM Performance div. ZZ 383
The ZZ 350 has been around in various forms for a long time and is well proven. The 383 is a stroker version that seems to me to have nice parts at a decent price. If you want a "crate" motor in this hp/price range it seems like an excellent choice.

I got a mail from Summit about shipping to Iceland. They are offering a shipping by DHL for "only" $2150. I can get a whole car brought in by Icelandair for less than that! I sure hope they can offer better shipping than that.
Does anybody know of a dealer near New York wich is selling this engine?
thanks, Jon H.

The problem with 3rd gens is that you can run maybe 325 to 350 hp with the rest of a stock drivetrain. But once you start pushing 350 to 400 hp, everything else is getting badly strained. UNLESS you are not some simple minded teenager that revs the snot out of things and dumps clutches at 5000 rpm.
And that is the best advice you can get on the subject from anyone, anywhere

Usually I dont abuse my stuff. I will probably have to get me another TH700R4 but I will use it untill it blows. I have 10b but I am getting a 9 inch made for my TA very soon.I got another shippin quote from Summit, by air its around $610, but thats very good. I will probably buy the ZZ383 in this week

Thanks, Jon H.
P.s. yes, Iceland is big enough, Its 50% bigger than Ireland and 15% bigger than Portugal
On the other hand, I think is just 1/4 the size of California.....
