getting car out of storage

there were tons of postsabout what to do to the car before it goes away for winter. i did everything i could for storage, changed atf, rear gear lube, full tank, take out battery, gasline storage stuff, bounty sheets etc...

so what do i do before i crank it up? ive heard dumping in some desiel fuel into the cylinders before you start it is good, but how much do i put in? do i fill it? and how far can i drive with the desiel in the oil, as the car is on a farm in the middle of nowhere.

I wouldn't put diesel fuel in the car.

If you are worried, I would make sure the battery is good, pull off the wire from the coil to the dist and crank it a bit to get the oil flowing and start it up. Then warm it up for a bit. DON'T BEAT ON IT for a bit.

This year will be my 4 summer of taking the car out off storage.
I just plug the battery back in and start it up.

I make sure all the fluid is toped up and I also change the oil. Let it run for about 15 min. before you drive it so the oil and tranny fluid get hot

I'm thinking that when its sitting for that long all the oil drains down into the pan, so instead of starting it like that once a year, your doing it every week. Where as if you drive it every day, there is probably still some oil throughout the motor when you go out to start it in the morning.

got it out today, drove it around
forgot how much i liked it. feels like drving a ping pong ball as apposed to a brick with my towncar

anywho i did take offf the coil plug and cranked it over before firing it up. good idea. it was raining pretty good out so i didnt want to spend much time doing it.
