Fuse popping problem, need help bad!

Hey guys. The fuse that runs the interior lights, odometer and speedometer (digital dash, '88), power doorlocks and the horn seems to pop all the time on me as soon as I put it in. It started to do it all the time like this after I fixed my steering colomn. So I took the colomn appart again, and as I took one thing off at a time, I tried it, kept popping. Finally, I disconnected the two big wiring harness connections that go into the steering colomn, pos still. What wire controls the horn going into the colomn? I would like to disconnect that. Tried dissconnecting the horn, both at the wheel and under the hood, nothing helped. I need to fix this, I can't see anything at night and my speedo is not working. Please help guys!

P.S. Got the steering colomn back together with everything working, so that is a bonus (execpt can't try the horn). Thanks.

Its the cluster fuse. I am curious, does anyone know what wire the horn button leads to the steering colomn, so I can disconnect it and see if the fuse stops popping.

I already removed the cig lighter long ago, but will try the wires again.

look for any wire thats loose or unhooked . i had a light bulb socket break off with the hot wire touching metal and popped tail/parking fuses. i rewired the whole rear end of my truck , replaced light switch, went through front light harness , untill finally i tore the dash apart and found this little wire bastage hangin around the ashtray, doh!

That is a good idea, I should check all the interior light wires, specially the ones that could come close to the steering colomn. I still have to find out how the horn is wired. Any ideas?
