fuel questions

alright i own a 87iroc-z. built 355 10.5/1 comp. dart heads, big cam , intake, chip, blah blah blah. my question is i have 26lb injectors, and a 255lph fp, any guesses on my pressure i should be running?......... b/c currently my oil reaks of gas!. i wondering if my pressure may to much (45). maybe with the bigger pump and
injectors i dont need the extra pressure? any ideas. also the gauge for my fuel pressure jumps all over the place, whats the deal with that!....

in need of a built 700r4 as well!.....

later guys,

Who customed the EPROM? Ask them. How is it customed when you haven't set the fuel pressure? 26 pph is a little large, IMO. I would have stuck with stock 22 pph or go up to 24 pph. I am using 24 but that is for my 383. My fuel pressure was set to stock and they burnt the EPROM based on that. They took readings and reburnt and did it once more just to make sure.

Sounds like you are dumping fuel past the rings into the oil. Isn't stock around 45 psi?

I had Rossler Trans rebuild my A4 and stuck a 500 above stock stall converter on it. TC came from LPE and Rossler trans was recommended by LPE

If it getting past your ring the only explanation is that it's so rich that the cylinders are getting washed down, this basically washes all of the oil off the cylinder wall, unseals the rings and gas flows into the crankcase, but if it was that rich you would know it by the smoke and the fact it runs like sh*t....I'd look for another explanation
