Fuel Filter Change

hey guys got a couple quickies about fuel filter change

for the fuel lines i should use a second wrench on the filter housing itself so i dont bend the lines right?
and also when i put the lines back on the new one, how do i torque em to the right specs? becasue chiltons says to torque the banjo bolt and the feed line nut to 22 ft lb
the banjo bolt on top should be easy but what about the nut on the feed line, should i use a crow foot on an extension to my torque wrench
do i need to use a flare nut wrench?
i know its not difficult but any wisdom an insight on this procedure would be greatly apreciated
thankyou

I use an open ended wrench with 5 sides on the inner side of the wrench. One on the compression fitting nut and the other on the filter. Also change the "O Rings" out when you do it or it might leak.

I think its called a flare nut wrench.
An ordinary open end wrench may work but could strip the nut.

Are you talking about the filter on the carburator? Or the one under the car?

I believe that is what it is called. Since I replace mine regularly, It hasn't had a chance to rust up. If you don't have it rusted all to hell, spray PB Blaster on it a day befroe you do it and you should be fine. Please resist the urge to use the heat wrench.

As long as it is tight and you have replaced the O-rings, you should be fine. Run it for a bit and check for leaks.
