i have an 86 IROC Z with 305 TPI.. i stopped running the other day due to fuel delivery problems. so i went through all of the steps to replace the fuel pump ( remove the exhuast, drop the tank, etc.) .. i replaced the pump and put everything back together except i left the fuel filer unhooked to see if it would pump gass out there....... after trying it, it didn't pump gass out were the filter should be, its not even making it that far. what could the problem be ? anyone have an idea?

 

Did you check the fuel pump relay before you changed the pump? It's on the firewall beside the brake booster with the fan relay.

 

how do i check the relay ??? and what would the effects of it being bad be ???
