Folks running with 383 strokers....

My question is what brand oil pan are you guys running with your 383 strokers. Part #'s would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I am running ths stock oil pan that came off the first motor

i ran a gm one myself....don't remember the part though but it came with the block.

So the stock 350 pan will clear the stroker crank/rods

it very well might, but an oil pan is somewhere i assume a lot of people overlook, you can gain a good 10-20 hp just from an oil pan with a better pickup just due to the lesser amount of sludge on the crank makes it easier to spin.

A lot of stroker guys I know run a stock one. Worst comes to worst--apply some BFH, seems to work well

I use Mobil 1 and haven't had any problems with sludging so far.

what brand oil pan

i run one of Canton's road race pans. the engine builder did have to notch the pan rail to clear the crank. sorry i don't have the part number off the top of my head. nice piece with no other problems aside from the notch. good luck!
