flywheel question/problem

I got a new flywheel for my 87 TPI ( i was told thats what it is) and the center doesn't fit around the pilot bearing opening. The engine has a 2.5" diamater and the new one is 2". Did the flywhel get made wrong or do I have the wrong engine info. The opening has like a lip around the bearing that if it wasn't there the new flywheel would fit perfectly.

Re: flywheel question/problem

Is your engine 1 or 2 piece rear main seal? 1 piece rear mains have a smaller bolt pattern.
