i've actually been quite against it for safety reasons but since my car is becoming more and more of a less driven car for daily purposes i've been considering it.

no one here is doing such?

Not really. The front end piece of the third gen is already plastic so fiberglass would be heavier. The front fenders are not very heavy because the inner fenders are part of the front suspension supporting the struts so total weight reduction from a fiberglass front end on a third gen would only be in the 10-20 pound range.

Unless you go to a tube chassis and hang the fiberglass off the tube chassis like a real race car, you're not going to save much weight. Just get a fiberglass hood.

www.jcwhitney.com used to carry third gen front ends but I can't find a listing any more
