External Fuel pump location help!!
I have a 1988 Firebird that I'm setting up for the 1/4 mile.
I pulled the tank out today to pull the pump and I have know Idea where I can mount the External Fuel pump using the stock tank.
I know the fuel lines won't support the HP that I will be making but I want the easiest and best solution to this problem.
I have two Mallory comp 140 pumps and filters I need to mount some where and I have no clew where if I use the stock tank.
Now I do have a 5 gallon tank that fits where the stock tank mounts but I can't tell if it will hit the rear end on a hard launch.
If I use the 5 gallon tank I have plenty of room towards the rear to run the pumps and the filters.
I'm running two pumps because one is going to go to the engine and one will go to the nitrous system.
I have all my lines and fittings to run new lines but If I run the 5 gallon fuel tank I will have to cut a hole in the car and get a big flat fuel door so I can put gas in it.
Let me know what you think is the best solution.
Thanks,
