Post Exhaust on my 84 Z-28

I have an 84 Z-28 with 30,000 original miles.I've been looking around for an exhaust system and everyone is telling me something different.I want to buy a 3 inch cat back system. It has a 305 HO with a 4bbl.It has stock exhaust manifolds and a single cat.Which cat back system will give me the best sound.MONEY IS NO OPTION!

The best sound is a matter of opinion. What may sound good to you, may not to someone else. Try the exhaust bord on thirdgen.org and down load some sound files of diff. exhaust systems and make your own choice on what sounds the best.

Damn, 30K miles. Rare find. I reccomend a single dynomax bullet muffler. Very nice modded sound in idle, at WOT it will wake the dead.

you can't go wrong with the sound of the venerable flowmaster.

i'm partial to my magnaflow, had it on my LT1 as well, doubt it would be much different on the 305.

price and build quality are good too. check ebay, i think they go for $325 or so shipped.

I have the Hooker Cat-back system and I love it. It is not loud at idle or cruising but has a great sound. When you get on it it sounds amazing. The only thing I would change is to make it a little bit louder.

I would say get some headers if you can and a catback. If not get you a catback it might be true 2.75 was available, but 3 inch is still bigger and its will be MANDRAL bent factory is not, so if will be better for the car. For the cheaper catbacks i like hooker.
