Engine swap

I just bought a 350 TPI from a 91 Z, and I am planning on putting it in my 91 RS that came with the 305 TBI. I also got the ECM and wiring harness. I was just wondering if there was anything I should be on the lookout for before I start this project? For example, could I use my wiring harness or do I need the harness for the 350.

I also have T5 in my car and I heard that they are only rated for up to 300ft/lbs. The 91 L89 is rated @ 345ft/lbs. I don't plan on racing but maybe the odd little adrenalin rush! Will my tranny last?

If your not popping the clutch at 4500k and abusing it you should be fine for a while.

"For a while" being the operative phrase. The T-5 will hold if you don't thrash it but sooner or later it's gonna give in to the extra torque. Stick the 350 in and enjoy it, but start saving for a new tranny.

if you are using the TPI then you will have to change the harness and ECM. If you are going to stay with TBI then your harness will work fine.
