engine swap???
I have a 1985 z28 with a 305 in it. I have i 1979 chevy 2500 pickup 2wd. It has a rebuilt 350 motor in it. I would like to know if it would be possible to put that engine in the car without running into alot of issues with it? Any information that anyone would have regarding this please let me know as soon as possible please. Thank you everyone
There will be a few minor problems.
For those 2 years, the oil dipstick tube in on different sides of the block. The 79 driver side dipstick will interfere with your exhaust.
Tuning, tuning, tuning. No matter carb or TPI, that 350 swap will be quite a disappointment without it.
The only other issues you would run into would be that since it is a rebuilt engine, and not the original 350, you have NO IDEA whats in it or on it.
