Engine Struggles when started
Engine Struggles when started
Alright the car was warm, just been driven gently for about 15 minutes, parked for about 25-30. I came back out to the car started it, it didn't do it's normal go up to about 1200 rpm and idle down. instead it only went to about 500 the bogged and dropped to about 350, sounded like it would stall, but it saved itself, back up to about 500 then back to 350.....you get the point i gave it gas but the instant it went back to idle same thing. I finally ave up and just drove the car. Parked it at work, popped the hood and the A/C lines were cold and they had condensation all over them???? I had my defrosters on with the temp all the way to hot. I researched on this board and found that the A/C will run with the defrosters to eliminate humidity...is this true? Also what would explain the bad idle? It's got new plugs, wire, cap, rotor, and coil. I think it needs a fuel filter and im gonna do that with this next oil change. Was the struggline just because i started the car with the defrosters on and it strained the engine??? It's an '89 IROC with the 350
