Question Engine Start Up

I just got a 1991 Camaro RS, with an LO3 305 engine. The car runs great, but when I try to start the car after letting it set overnight, (about 8 hours or so) the engine turns over about 6 times before it starts. I have to hold the key for about 4 seconds. (You know the sound rrr rrr rrr rrr rrr rrr rrr Vrooommmm). Is this normal for camaro's? If not, does anyone have any reccomendations on how to make the engine start faster. Maybe this doesn't even hurt anything, but for some reason it bugs me. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Engine Start Up

mine does it to, I think it is fuel pressure related, if you turn the key on, let the fuel pump prime, then turn it off a for a couple seconds, it should start right up
