I have an 83 z28 with a carb 350. Originally it was a fuel injected 305. It runs great except for the fact that it just ate a brand new Optima battery. How can this happen? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

 

Bad alternator?

That doesn't say anything really. Take it out to another store for testing. If that is fine then perhaps you got a bad battery.

 

Look for an ignition off draw. Maybe you got something that is draining power overnight.
