Post Dual Exhaust

Hey guys. If I just want to build a short dual exhaust system to say either come out on either side with little pipe and a bottle muffler, or just to go straight back, with stock rideheight springs and 27" tall tire and airbags in the back, is it possible? Or how about dual pipes to come out on one side, then where the cat used to sit have two bottle muffler and then two pipes going straight back and being dumped in front of the axle, that should be possible and inexpensive as well, correct? I am just looking for a way to improve my current exhaust, it is 1 5/8" primary shorty headers and single 3" exhaust with no cat, mandarel bent! How much HP should my current system be able to handle, any ideas? Thanks.
