Dropping in the new engine.

Ok Im finally getting my engine back today. Now when i was pulling off my headers when i was removing the engine, it was a tight squeeze. Can i bolt the headers to the engine and then drop it in? or will I not be able to squeeze the drivers side header past the power steering?

not sure what headers your using. but from my experiances, ive had to always put the driver side header on from under the car. plenty of room on the passenger side

I have the Hedman shorties, and I put those in after I had the engine in. I did it that way because the whole engine bay was ripped apart, so why not Took me about an hour to get them in and bolted.

Re: Dropping in the new engine.

ok ill try this again. for me, from up top i was able to drop my passenger side on. but on the driver side i had to move the header on from under the car.
i couldnt just drop it in from the top.
make a little more sense now?

Re: Dropping in the new engine.

I have Edelbrock TES headers for my 400, and I installed both of them from up top after I dropped the motor in the car.
