distributer?

hey guys im just about to install my intake manifold and carb now that i got the new cam in... i just wanted to make sure that the only thing i need to run the new carb is a ditributer with timing advance right? o yea and i got a intake manifold that if for non EGR vehicles so is it fine if i just take off all the smog stuff since im not in a area with emissions one more quetsion is my car doesnt have a chip in it right? being that it is carburated... anf if so where could i find a performace one? thanks

u can just leave off the EGR valve and stuff like that,u can take the other emissions stuff off to since u dont have them...lucky @$$.

lol yea im glad there no emissions around here but does anyone know about the carb? is the only thing i need a disty with timing advance?

there is a prom inside that pcm to run the carb...that is if you still have the feedback quadrapuke...If you have changed it to a holley or something else, changing the chip shouldnt be neccessary. You really shouldnt need to touch the chip no matter what carb you put on. THe trans doesnt use the tps and the cruise runs of your speedo, so it shouldn't make a difference

but i will still need a new distibuter correct? and when i replace it what should i put the timing at?
