I swaped in a 350 turbo for my 700r and everything went well except the dipstick.

I went to the local parts store and they have a dipstick that has an o-ring style seal. I'm told that there is another type of dipstick, a type with a grommet on the end.

The tube with the grommet style has a smaller diameter than the o-ring style.

Anyways the o-ring style will not seat in my tranny, but I cannot find a grommet style.

The gm garage told me that they came on later model 350 turbos(early 80's) and said that he could order a tube for $89.00 + dipstick.

I figured i woudl buy a new tranny before i did that. Anyone know what I'm talking about or where i can find a dipstick with the grommet?
