Delayed Throttle Response?
Delayed Throttle Response?
I have a 1990 IROCz 305tpi.
Now, my question is:
Is it normal to have a half second delay in throttle response? Reason I ask is that I always expect the car to take off but theres a slight delay when I step on it, and then it just seems like its not pulling as hard as it should.
Heres what happens in sequence:
Pedal goes down....rpms shoot up...THEN car accellerates faster.
Its got Summit Shorty Headers on it, Hedman YPipe, Flowmaster dual out muffler, TB bypass, Gutted airbox, 10 degree timing advance, ACCEL Coil and 8.8mm wires. IMO I think I have a fairly free flowing setup, and I just think it should be responding right away and pulling a tad harder. Could this be due to a vacuum leak somewhere? If so, where are common vacuum leaks?
