damn the rain, any suggestions

so seems like every time my car has to go into the shop for a major performance mod it rains. it rained when i did my pullies and my exhaust and now its set to rain. my best buddy is doing the work and he wont let me put it in his garage for the evening. the only reason it goes to him is for big mods other wise forget him. what should i do plastic over the t -tops there brand new gaskets and they still leak. when we had that heavy *** hurricane my rear leather seats got soaked. i dont need this again. and this guys so busy i kissed *** to get this car in on wensday and thursday damn the rain.

I have a sure fire solution for leaking t-roofs. Its messy to do but once done thats it. Liquid Butyl it never dries and always stays flexible. It comes in caulking gun tubes and is light grey almost white in color and it is VERY sticky so be warned. It will not come off fabric and is very difficult to clean up. Thinners will remove it but I advise caution on plastic parts. It has the consistency of Hubba Bubba when its over 100 degrees very stringy mozarella type stuff.

Remove all the seals and the center t-roof section and apply liberally under all openings and seal seats then reinstall the center section and seals. One more tip to seal is under the hatch hinges... It took a few floods and some trial and error but I am on my sixth third gen and this Liquid butyl solution has been working for five years now with NO leaks ever. I bought mine at a local building suplier. This is old school stuff so don't be surprised if Home Depot doesn't have any. Good luck!

Would a tarp anchored by 4 or 5 stakes work for a while?

How about a tarp and some bungee straps? It's only for a day or two right?

I don't like bungee cords because it has too much give.
