couple questions on what fluids i should use

so its spring time, meaning all fluids get swapped over. as far as my fuel is conserned i always use 93 sunoco octane and this year ill be giving it a cup of methanol every fill up to keep the fuel system clean. as far as oil i always use valvoline maxlife 10w40 with and entire bottle of that awesome lucas additive. what my question is what should i use for my tanny fluid. i saw maxlife fluid witch kinda excited me but someone said synthetic tranny fluid is good either way this tranny is also getting the bottle of lucas tranny stop slip additive not cause its slipping but for good measure. and also on my rear i just got it rebuilt using all the major strong parts, 3.73 gears eaton posi etc etc. what fluid should i put in there i heard redline was good, as well as royal purple or should i just keep running the regular valvoline 80w90 i ran last year. my car info is below if you need it shes not pushing much horse yet but should be down in the 14,s by the fall just wondering on fluids if you guys can help.

thanks

Lordmetal your ok on the gas and oil ,but I would drop the 10w40 for 10w30 ,or even 5w30(this would cut your times slightly) unless your driving in exstreamly hot conditions (desert) as for the trans have you tried B&M Trick Shift (synthedic fluid) I have been using it for a couple of years and have had no problems ,plus I think you could skip the Anti slip stuff for now . You might want to go with the Purple ,or Redline lube for the rearend if your going to be at the track alot.

Why not go to a symthetic oil? Or is the maxlife a synthetic?
As far as tranny fluid goes, when I change mine I plan on putting in M1 sythetic, just because I havn't heard anything bad about it, and I can buy it at NAPA or autobarn.
And why are you using oil stabalizer? With a 40wt oil, and that stabalizer, thats got to be some pretty thick stuff you have in there. I would also agree with dropping to 10-30 or 5-30, unless there is a reason your going with this thick stuff? I don't know if I would put that stuff in my tranny either.

striaght petroleuum sticks to everything raises oil pressure and reduces oil consumption just an all around great additive that raised my oil pressure drastically in a time of need . from just above the red (5psi) to 25 psi at idel great stuff i swear bye it

Synthetic isn't cheap stuff, but as far as engines go, from what ive heard about pulling apart a 150k motor and it looking almost new inside after using M1 the whole life, I think I will stick with it. When my car overheated badly the M1 oil probably saved the motors butt, because it didn't break down at the temperature like normal oil would have.
I just thing the M1 tranny fluid might help prolong the trannys life, and I would use it but its too late to change the trans fluid, 100k on the original. If I change it now most likely ill be rebuilding the thing.
