What car? What system? Have you changed the EPROM inside the ECM?

Sounds like you need a new chip. Gimme $50!

Ok seriously, there is a difference in the V6 and V8 chips. #1 difference is the setting where you enter the number of cylinders. Then the list goes on from there. I believe if you were to get a 90 305 TBI chip, things may work out better for you. Did you change radiators? Also do you have both the temp sending unit and the fan turn on switch in each of their respective cylinder heads?

Are you getting any codes?

Im not sure about your car but in mine the computer has nothing to do with my fan turning on. Since hes runnin a carb unless it's a camputer controled one he doesnt even need a ecm. I think the fanswich is on the drivers side of the engine. Find that and trace the wire to were is goes or doesnt go to salve your problem.

Cool

If it comes down to it you can hook up a relay to supply power for the fan and power it off the ignition so it runs the fan all the time...at least you'll be able to drive it.
