im sorry i goofed, its not a m/c selniod code but a manifold air temp sensor code. i went to the autozone website reports that the part i need is not avaible. how come? it seems like a very basic senor, can this sensor cause reduced engine performance/ fuel economy?

 

It IS a very basic sensor. Try a REAL auto parts store, not a cheese-ball chain store. They are definitely available. At least the last time I went looking for one they were (about a year ago).

 

Yes, it can cause reduced performance and mileage. I wouldn't say it's extreme but it can affect things a noticable amount
