Post Clutch replacement

Do you always have to resurface the fly- wheel when changing the clutch? If you don't then what?

I don't know a whole lot about shanging clutches since my car is auto, but... I beleive that if you don't resurfcae the flex plate you'll cause the clutch to slip.

I'm pretty sure its the same idea as brake rotors. Pulsation, noise, and grip power all become a factor if not resurfaced.

When i had my clutch replaced by a pro shop, they said it is standard procedure to resurface the flywheel. If not done, any "run out" will cause the clutch to grab or pulse during engagment. ( Just as with brake rotors.)
