clutch pedal
i took a '88 IROC for a ride and the clutch pedal felt very different from my '83 Z28, BUT...
on my '83 the "Z" bar(bar that goes from the clutch pedal to the actual clutch housing) needs to be replaced, something with it being bent and damaged at one end, and as a result it can be a little tricky to shift, so anyway...
i drove this IROC and the clutch pedal felt very different, it took a while to get used to(mainly because i was so used to driving my '83 the way it was, and i never drove any other stick car)... it took very little pressure to opperate the clutch, everytime i went to shift you would here a thump which was the pedal smacking the floor... now i never drove any other stick besides my '83, at least up until i drove this IROC so i don't know how a real clutch is suppose to feel(i think the Z bar in my '83 would also cause the clutch pedal to act different too)... but is this the way it should be?? help me out please, i might buy this car and i want to know if this is how it's suppose to be, or if something needs to be fixed/adjusted...
thanks for all your time, your help is appreciated!!

Yeah it's just the difference between mechanical and hydraulic clutches. A hydro clutch will be smoother and require less force to operate than a mechanical, and you don't have to worry about adjusting linkages and such.
