Carb Spacers
Carb Spacers
Ive been searching about carb spacers. People have told me that they are a cheap mod that will give you some power. I read the 4 hole ones give you torque and the open ones give you more power in the upper rpm range. I would go with the 4 hole one.
Will I see a difference in using a carb spacer? My car is pretty much stock. The mods are in the sig. Just basically full exhaust. I still have the stock q-jet and intake manifold. I have a cowl hood so I dont have to worry about space.

Re: Carb Spacers
Without dyno time, you're not going to see any big changes between different spacers. Many magazines have done tests and all spacers show some improvement. For years I've used an open 2" spacer but late this year I switched to a 1" Super Sucker from HVH. It's a highly modified 4 hole spacer and I've seen some local dyno results that look very impressive. I never got a chance to do any tests myself. I spun a main bearing in my engine before I made any runs with the new spacer. Next year won't be a good comparison since the engine is going to be different.
