With the stock 700R4 in my 92 RS w/ 99K 305 TBI. When I go from Park into any gear I get a bit of a lurch. Lurch - it almost seems like the car raises on the suspension and then settles roughly - more so than an forward movement.

I think this started around 85000 miles and only happens when going from Park to gears, never from gears to park and the problem is less (but still happens) when I go Park - N - gears.

Just looking for additional feedback on this as an indicator of tranny life or other comments.

Sounds like a U-joint issue.
