canadian $ value of iroc

was at work and i though i heard a co-worker next to me say 'iroc'
then he looks at me and asks "do you want an iroc?"
i said yes, and does it have t-tops?
his uncle is selling one at that time he doesnt know anything about it except its in good shape, but within the next month im going to go check it out.
was AWFUL hard to get work done thinking about my hair flowing in the wind of t-tops

anyway, ill try to get more details and ill just hope i can afford it.
taxes back will be nice, and around 3000, i just picked up another job.
ill try to pretend like i dont want it when i see it, but if is black with t-tops...

anywho ill get the vin# block casting # pics of the guages, and pics of the car all around and underneath.

but off hand lets pretend its the average iroc, 305tpi auto in good shape and clean. what kind of hole will that burn in my pocket?

I`ve seen Irocs go for $7000-10000 there are not cheap but you could get lucky I`m kinda lookin at a 87 GTA WS6 350TPI it`s 7000 it`s in allright shape the seats are shot though. I also seen a 350 4 bbl 5 spd Iroc for 5000 or 6000 nice car but the paint was shot. I also saw a 89 Iroc black 350 TPI for $10000 So as you can see 3rd gen are not cheap up here. I`ve seen guys on here lookin at mint Z28`s and there like is 4500 a good price and evey ones sayin no I`d offer 3500. I`m like my god 4500 for that car up here is a steal.

But good luck on buyin your future IROC-Z But make sure it`s an Iroc and not a clone the body tag will say IROCZ if it`s real.

Oh and I know what you mean when you said getting work done was hard thinking about the wind in your hair when the tops are off I have that problem every day it`s worse now because I can`t drive my Z28 till may 1st I hate winter

If it is in good STOCK shape, (interior OK, engine runs well, doesn't burn oil, etc.,) pay no more than $5000 Canadian (roughly $3800 US) unless he has receipts for new parts. And that is for a well optioned car with AC, power everything, yada, yada, yada.

Remember, you are buying a car that is at least 14 years old and you will be obliged to rebuild the majority of it over the next few years. That means the engine has only so many more miles on it until it MUST be replaced, the tranny a few years, etc., etc. You will be amazed at how many parts are going to wear out fairly soon.

But if it has numerous new parts, and especially if they are the major components, i.e., engine, tranny, rear end, then the car's value can fairly be assessed at around $5000 plus the value of whatever major components or repairs that have been made.

For instance, in 2001 I paid $5000 for my 1986 Sports Coupe. It is loaded from the factory but I have since had to repair, replace or build for high performance every major component in the car except the short block. I could not let my car go for less than $15,000 Canadian and even then I would be losing about $7000. And I have all the receipts to prove what I say!

Thus you can see from my experiences what the true value of a 3rd gen Camaro really is. This is what it is ACTUALLY going to cost you, but then you will have a high performance car that you won't want to get rid of for many years

Not even close I`m about 2 hours from toronto, about 1/2 hour from buffalo, where the peace bridge is.

I`m not sure where barrie is but I think it`s on the other side of toronto

Hey you might get lucky with that Iroc. one time I saw a 85 IROC-Z L69 5 spd for $800 it wouldn`t pass a E-test. Man if I had 800 I would`ve bought it

I bought my 87 5.7 t-top car from the 2nd owner with all receipts and records from when it was new. It needed paint and interior work. I got it for $1500, restored it and sold it for $5500. Look at the link in the sig. I gave that car away.
