I have a 87 Iroc and i am going to put in a cam but i don't want a huge cam i was looking around 500. I found a GM hot cam and it was a 525 with 1.6 rockers would this be a loud cam and be good for a every day car Hope u can help Shane

 

hot cam will sound good... and the lift is decent... you will need new springs to run it though... and i can't remember if the l98s had press in studs or not... i have a 305 lb9 and they have the press in kind... if so then you will have to get that worked on cause that much lift will press out the studds..

 

Would the LT4 hot cam require severe memcal/chip upgrades?? If so, who would be the best at that?? Also, wouldn't a ZZ4 cam be better and more "computer friendly"?? I am in the middle of deciding a cam and entire valvetrain set up----- now that I am going to get my hands on some ZZ4 heads.---If you know---let me know----Thanks--Pablo.
